Anti Wrinkle injections and Microblading: This article is intended to give honest and clear advice to our readers and does not promote prescription products.

Anti Wrinkle injections or Microblading First?

Dr. Hamilton would advise against having Anti-Wrinkle injections before microblading. These injections relax the muscles in the brow area and can affect the natural shape of your eyebrows.

Your brows may temporarily droop or become slightly asymmetrical whilst the toxin is taking its full effect. This is why it best to have Microblading to fill in the sparse areas in your eyebrows before having your Anti Wrinkle treatments.

When scheduling both treatments, have your microblading first and your Anti-Wrinkle treatments 2 weeks later or when your eyebrows have healed.

How long after Microblading before I get Anti Wrinkle injections ?

Wait at least 2 weeks between both treatments. Microblading is a minimally invasive procedure that involves creating small incisions in the skin of the eyebrows to deposit pigment. This will allow any cuts to heal and your eyebrows should have a perfect shape.

If you have Anti Wrinkle injections too soon after microblading, there’s a chance that the movement of the muscles in your forehead might affect the newly applied pigment. This could make your eyebrows look uneven.

Ideally, you should wait at least two weeks. If your eyebrows have healed and any swelling has subsided, you could safely have your Anti-Wrinkle injections after just one week. Always inform your aesthetic doctor first and they will advise you accordingly.

Should I get Anti Wrinkle injections or Eyebrow Waxing first?

Get your Anti-Wrinkle injections before getting your eyebrows waxed or tweezed.

Wait 2 weeks to allow your injections to reach their maximum effect. Any swelling or trauma caused by waxing could cause the toxin to migrate to unintended areas.

Always check with your aesthetic injector regarding any concerns you may have.
