What is Profhilo Structura?

Profhilo Structura is an injectable treatment designed to fix facial hollowing and sagging.

While the original Profhilo hydrates the skin’s surface, Structura goes deeper to target the fat layers that thin out as you grow older.

What it helps with:

  • Restores Support: Targets "empty" spaces in the mid-face and cheeks for a natural lift.

  • Reduces Hollowing: Firms up areas where skin has become thin or sunken.

  • Improves Elasticity: Triggers collagen and elastin to help skin "snap back."

  • Deep Hydration: Improves overall skin quality and moisture.

Why Your Facial ‘Scaffolding’ Matters

As we age, it’s not just our skin that changes. The adipose tissue and bone structure beneath the surface begin to shift and deplete. This leads to:

  • Sagging along the jawline (jowls)

  • Loss of definition in the cheeks

  • A "tired" or "sinking" appearance

How Profhilo Structura Works

  • Restores Support: It targets the "empty" spaces in the mid-face and cheeks to provide a subtle, natural lift.

  • Fixes Hollowing: It helps firm up areas where the skin has become thin or "sunken."

  • Improves Firmness: It triggers collagen and elastin production to help skin "snap back" better.

  • Hydrates: Like the original, it provides deep moisture for better skin texture.

  • Reality:  It encourages your body to repair its own structural tissue. Two sessions are needed, one month apart, to see the full effect.

Profhilo Structura Clinical Trials

This advanced treatment was launched in London in June 2024. Dr. Mark is one of the first aesthetic specialists in Ireland & Northern Ireland to offer this service.

Over the past 16 months, he has been using Profhilo Structura in conjunction with the original Profhilo and getting fabulous results.

Profhilo Structura Clinical trials have shown 95% of patients noticed improvement in their mid-face area after completion of their two-part treatment.

Patient Assessment for Profhilo Structura

  1. Sinker – These patients are slim and have hollowing in their face. Injecting in front of their ear will create a natural looking filling of the area.

  2. Sagger – These patients have a rounder face with slight jowl formation and flatting of the cheek. Injecting along their cheek bone and in front of their ear, can achieve more natural re-shaping.

How many Profhilo Structura treatments are needed?

Dr. Mark recommends a course of two Profhilo Structura treatments, with the second treatment administered about 4 weeks after the first.

Maintenance treatments are recommended every 6 months.

Treatment takes 20 minutes. A topical numbing cream and local anesthetic is applied to the injection sites to minimize any pain.

You may have some redness at the injection sites for a few hours.

Profhilo v Profhilo Structura

They are both injectable treatments that use hyaluronic acid, but they target different aspects of skin aging.

Profhilo focuses on skin hydration, elasticity and firmness.

Profhilo Structura restores lost facial fat and provides structural support, especially in your lower face and jawline.

Who Is It Suitable For?

Profhilo Structura may be suitable for people who are experiencing:

  • Early signs of ageing

  • Mild skin laxity or thinning skin

  • Loss of definition in the mid-face

A consultation with Dr. Mark Hamilton is recommended to determine if this treatment is appropriate for your individual needs.
