Excessive Sweating-Hyperhidrosis
Under Arm Hyperhidrosis
Everyone sweats. It’s a perfectly normal bodily function which helps regulate our temperature. Dr. Mark Hamilton is an experienced specialist in the injection treatment of excessive underarm sweating. This procedure can reduce your sweating by almost 90% and results last about 9-12 months.

Nose Sweating:
Dr. Mark also treats Rhino Hyperhidrosis often known as nose sweating. Nose sweating is caused by overstimulation of eccrine glands. While it can be hereditary, it can also be caused by anxiety, menopause, hyperthyroidism or drugs like insulin. The injections will block the sweat glands for about 6 months, after which you will need another treatment.

Hyperhydrosis treatment dosage:
Routinely at least 50 units of toxin are administered to each underarm. Using less units per underarm will only give you relief of your symptoms for a few months.
Individuals vary and some patients need a stronger dose. For a very severe case of hyperhidrosis a higher dose of 60-80 units may be required.
At your appointment, you will have a consultation with Dr. Hamilton and he will advise you with regards to your suitability, dosage and outcome of your treatment.
Procedure
Wear a sleeveless T- shirt and bring a loose sweat shirt or hoodie with you. No need not wear deodorant so Dr. Mark can assess the level of your sweating.
For patients who are sensitive to needles, a triple anaesthetic prescription numbing cream is applied to the injection sites for 30 minutes before injecting.
