Can I Wear Makeup To My Appointment?

It is better to attend your appointment with nothing on your skin. If you wear makeup, we will cleanse it off anyway!

Natural skin oil and sweat can mix with your makeup and make it difficult for Dr. Mark to assess your skin properly during the appointment. He needs to clearly see your skin’s natural state, which helps determine how much or little toxin should be used for the desired effect.

Dr. Hamilton will clean your skin with Clinicsept solution and rubbing alcohol before your injections.

Anti-Wrinkle Injections & Makeup

You can apply makeup after you get Anti-Wrinkle injections.

At our clinics we always advise patients to wait 10 –15 minutes before touching up their makeup after AW injections in order to allow the tiny puncture sites to heal. This greatly reduces the risk of infection at the injection site. Always apply your fresh makeup with spotlessly clean brushes or sponges.

Dr. Hamilton applies Arnica Gel to the injection sites after he has treated you. Best to allow this cream to work it’s magic rather than apply make up.

You can gently touch up your eyebrows and lips straight after your procedure, so bring your brow pencil and lip gloss

Dermal Fillers or Profhilo & Makeup

You cannot wear makeup for 24 hours after Dermal fillers or Profhilo.

You need to wait until the injection sites have closed up and the redness has faded away. Most patients who get HA Dermal Filler injections experience mild redness for up to 24 hours after treatment.

Best to wait until the next day after your Filler or Profhilo injections before applying make up.
