From Trout Pouts to Frozen Faces, everywhere we look, we see someone who has had too many Anti-Wrinkle and Lip Filler injections.
The main goal of aesthetic injections is to enhance your natural features and give you a more refreshed and confident look. When done correctly, these treatments can actually take years off your face without drastically changing your appearance.
It is easy to go overboard with these types of injections, especially if you’re treated by someone who is not very experienced. Always remember, there is a fine line between overcorrection and looking naturally rejuvenated.

How can I avoid looking Frozen?
Getting Anti-Wrinkle treatments should never mean "one-injection-pattern-fits-all". Your face is unique and it is important to correctly calculate the dosage to create a look that best suits you. Choose a doctor who is known for their experience, safety record, talent and skills. Otherwise, you might end up with an unnatural looking result and weird " Mr Spock Brows"
Start with a Lower Dose
An experienced aesthetic specialist will understand your facial anatomy and muscle movement. They will know the precise amount of toxin to inject. Begin with a conservative dose and gradually increase, if needed, in your follow up treatments. This technique will give you a more natural looking result.

Choose a Qualified and Experienced Specialist
Aesthetic injections should only be injected by a medically qualified practitioner. Best NOT to choose someone who may have completed a training course in aesthetic injectables but has not actually injected very many faces. Look for an experienced aesthetic doctor who has treated hundreds of patients like you. Never underestimate expertise and hands-on experience & never be afraid to ask your injector how many patients they have successfully treated.
How often should I get Aesthetic injections?
You can have Anti-Wrinkle injections two or three times per year. Dr. Mark doesn’t recommend having it more often than that.
Lip Fillers should last 9-12 months and can be topped up with just 0.5 mls of a soft filler to avoid the trout pout look.
It's not uncommon for aesthetic treatments to be unnoticeable to others. Many of our patients opt for these procedures to enhance their natural appearance without looking "done."
The correct end point is to subtly reduce signs of aging and improve facial features in a way that looks natural and refreshed, rather than dramatically different. Dr. Mark would always advise
" Where aesthetic injections are concerned, less is more "
